We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Embroidery Machine Operator to join our in-house embroidery team. If you're passionate about quality, take pride in your work, and enjoy being part of a supportive, close-knit team, we'd love to hear from you!
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Main duties will include:
- Setting up and operating commercial embroidery machines
- Preparing garments and selecting the correct frames, backings and threads
- Loading embroidery designs and making adjustments where required
- Accurately positioning and hooping a wide range of garments
- Monitoring machines throughout production and resolving thread breaks or minor faults
- Checking completed garments to ensure a consistently high-quality finish
- Trimming, finishing, folding and packing completed orders
- Assisting with garment printing and other production duties where required
- Following customer instructions and completing orders accurately
- Keeping machinery and work areas clean, tidy and well maintained
- Serving customers face-to-face in our shop
- Answering customer enquiries and taking orders over the telephone
- Helping customers choose suitable garments, colours, sizes and personalisation options
- Providing friendly, professional service and keeping customers updated about their orders
- Supporting other members of the team during busy periods
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience operating commercial embroidery machines
- Understand garment positioning, hooping, stabilisers and thread selection
- Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing high-quality work
- Be confident working independently and as part of a small team
- Be organised and able to manage several orders and deadlines
- Have good communication and customer-service skills
- Be comfortable speaking with customers both in person and over the telephone
- Be reliable, punctual and willing to help with different areas of the business
- Remain calm and accurate during busy periods
Experience in garment printing, artwork preparation or embroidery software would be an advantage but is not essential.
