Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Greek dishes, ensuring flavour authenticity and presentation excellence
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production and quality control
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain smooth workflow
- Manage food safety standards in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management
- Train new team members in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation specialising in Greek cuisine or similar Mediterranean styles
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Skilled in cooking techniques relevant to Greek dishes such as moussaka, souvlaki, tzatziki, and baklava
- Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on customer service
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
