Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skilled Ground Worker to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist with excavation, grading, drainage, kerbing and site preparation activities to lay the groundwork for Lodge Park Development
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently under supervision
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment
- Support team members in setting up work zones, loading materials, and transporting supplies around the site
- Conduct inspections of work areas to identify hazards or issues requiring attention
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience or training in ground work, , or construction support roles is mandatory
- Ticketed for machinery for Diggers, Dumper and 360.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to ground work and construction sites is advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors
