As a Mechanical Engineer at Ontic, you'll provide technical support across a diverse portfolio of aerospace products, from supporting the introduction of new products into the Ontic portfolio through to in-service support and eventual retirement. Working within a highly regulated environment, you'll help ensure our products continue to meet demanding performance, quality and regulatory requirements .
You'll work closely with Supply Chain, Operations , Quality and our customers to maintain design integrity, providing validated engineering solutions to overcome supply chain challenges or support product improvements. Whether reviewing technical data, implementing engineering changes, investigating technical issues or resolving obsolescence challenges, you'll play a vital role in keeping our products reliable and compliant as part of Ontic's promise to deliver a lifetime of flight .
This role offers plenty of variety, with the opportunity to support redesign activities, evaluate new materials and manufacturing solutions, participate in root cause investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that deliver real value to both our customers and the business.
We're looking for a proactive Mechanical Engineer who enjoys solving engineering challenges and thrives in a collaborative environment. You'll be someone who can confidently manage multiple priorities within an agile working environment, build strong relationships across the business, and communicate technical information clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
You'll have practical knowledge and understanding of a broad range of engineering materials and manufacturing processes . I deally you will have experience supporting product sustainment , design improvement or New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, together with an understanding of engineering change processes within a regulated industry.
