Bar & Venue Staff — Baroque, Penarth
We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable people to join our team at Baroque, Penarth’s only late-night venue!
We are hiring for part time weekly cover and also event staff.
When & Where
- Shifts: Thursday–Sunday, between 19:00 – 04:00
- Location: Penarth town centre
- Must be 18+ (due to sale of alcohol)
Pay Rates
Paid 4-weekly — fully compliant with UK National Minimum Wage :
- Age 18–20: £10.85 / hour
- Age 21+: £12.71 / hour

What You’ll Be Doing
- Serving drinks fast & efficiently during busy service
- Keeping the bar & customer areas clean, tidy & rubbish-free
- Engaging with customers — friendly, welcoming atmosphere
- Helping with setup & close-down of the venue
- Stock rotation & replenishment (glasses, straws, supplies)
- Promoting our drink offers & upselling
- Cleaning customer bathrooms at end of shift
- Recycling & waste management
- Collecting glasses from the venue
- Challenging ID — Challenge 25 & following all licensing standards
- Serving a range of beers, wines, spirits & cocktails
- Covering special events & staff sickness as needed

- Reliable & punctual — we need people who show up
- Friendly & confident chatting to people
- Able to work under pressure on busy nights
- Happy on your feet for long shifts
- Available weekends is essential
- Previous bar experience is a bonus, but great attitude matters most — we’ll train you!
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
