Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting baked goods, beverages, and related products
- Provide detailed product information and answer customer questions clearly and confidently
- Upsell bakery items by highlighting specials, new products, or complementary items to enhance sales
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays to showcase products effectively and encourage purchases
- Operate cash registers accurately, handle transactions efficiently, and process payments following proper phone etiquette
- Manage stock levels by restocking shelves promptly and organizing products for easy access
- Support the team with organizational tasks such as inventory checks, cleaning, and ensuring the bakery area remains tidy and inviting
- To Assist in the kitchen with Scones, Quiches and general Baking Duties.
Experience
- Previous retail. catering and customer service experience is required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing stock counts
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team while demonstrating strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing displays is advantageous
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and upselling strategies will help maximize customer satisfaction and sales potential
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
