OUR STORY
We're Koop+Kraft and we began in January 2018. Since then, we've set out to offer a blend of high-quality comfort food and innovative, great-tasting drinks.
We hold ourselves to a high standard and try to do the simple things perfectly.
We're located in the village of Cowplain, Waterlooville, just outside Portsmouth.
We're open Tuesday to Saturday in the evenings and from 12pm on Sundays.
You can find out more about us at koopkraft.co.uk or by following @koopkraft on Instagram and Facebook.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As our Hospitality Supervisor Apprentice, you'll be learning what it takes to lead an exceptional front-of-house team while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
You'll still be very much involved in delivering fantastic service, but you'll also begin developing the skills needed to supervise shifts, motivate a team and help run the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
No two days are the same. One minute you'll be welcoming guests, the next you'll be supporting the team through a busy service, solving problems, ensuring standards are maintained and helping create an experience that's worth talking about.
You'll work closely with our management team, learning everything from leadership and team development to customer service, stock management and restaurant operations.
WHAT WE'RE OFFERING
This is more than just a job—it's the start of a career in hospitality.
We're looking for someone to join us as soon as possible, giving us time to teach you the fundamentals of how Koop+Kraft operates before your Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship with HSDC begins in September. This initial period also allows both you and us to make sure it's the right fit before the apprenticeship officially starts.
You'll work 15–30 hours per week, depending on the successful candidate and what works best for both you and the business.
Unlike a traditional college course, all of your learning takes place on the job. There are no weekly college days—instead, you'll continue learning while working alongside our experienced management team, with regular support and guidance from an HSDC lecturer throughout your apprenticeship.
From the start of your apprenticeship, you'll be given real responsibility, developing the confidence and leadership skills needed to supervise shifts, support the team and help run a busy restaurant.
And what's the point in working in a restaurant if you go home hungry? We'll make sure you're looked after there too.
Alongside your apprenticeship, you'll receive:
- A nationally recognised Hospitality Supervisor qualification.
- Paid employment throughout your apprenticeship.
- Staff meals whilst on shift.
- A share of the team's tips.
- Flexible scheduling where possible.
- Ongoing training and mentoring from our management team.
- Genuine opportunities for progression within Koop+Kraft.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
This isn't a stop-gap job—we're looking for someone who wants to build a career in hospitality.
You'll be enthusiastic, hardworking and genuinely excited to learn. You'll enjoy working with people, stay calm under pressure and take pride in doing things properly. You'll be confident communicating with both guests and your teammates and always willing to get stuck in.
You'll be available to work evenings and weekends, as these are our busiest trading periods.
Previous hospitality experience isn't essential. We're far more interested in attitude, work ethic and ambition. If you've got those, we'll teach you everything else.
If you're excited by the idea of learning from an experienced management team, gaining a recognised qualification and becoming a future leader within our business, we'd love to hear from you.
