The primary function of this role is to support current and future operational systems and reporting requirements across the Macallan Estate. The role will provide business analyst support to strategic projects, deliver operational data insights/reporting, and act as a product owner for the Cask Tracking System, particularly in relation to UK operations.
This role requires a depth of appreciation of the specific demands, techniques, technologies, and tools pertinent to ways of working within the Macallan operations team and the wider Global Supply Chain. The role is highly proactive in interfacing with operational teams and business technology colleagues to effectively understand business requirements and the demand for technology support.
The position reports to the Head of Maturation at the Macallan Estate within the Global Supply Chain team with a matrix reporting line into the Lead Business Analyst within the business technology function.

Make an Impact
Manage and deliver reporting requirements, particularly Power BI dashboards, to derive data insights and support operational decision making.
Collaborate closely with the technology team to access data, escalating more complex reporting requirements.
Undertake proactive reporting and systems gap analysis with operational teams.
Develop, coordinate and issue operational KPI packs as required.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Cask Tracking System users across the business (Spain, Dominican Republic, UK) acting as a key point of contact between operational stakeholders and the business technology function.
Engage with Cask Tracking System end-users to co-ordinate effective testing when Cask Tracking System updates are delivered and provide support as required, including training and minor updates to user roles.
Actively participate in PowerBI development and user forums across the business.
Partner with project teams and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Analyse and improve business processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement
Support system implementations, testing (UAT), training, and change management activities
Collaborate with operational teams to define user journeys, processes, and business rules.
Contribute to Business Analyst best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous development.
Your Talent and Skills
Educated to a Degree level or equivelant
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to run workshops and discuss/present technical topics with both operational and technology audiences.
Able to work effectively at all levels of the organisation with the ability to identify, challenge and influence stakeholders.
Strong business analysis skills, ability to choose appropriate tools and techniques.
Ability to model business processes, user journeys, business rules and break down business needs into compelling user stories with robust acceptance criteria.
An understanding of change management principles.
Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and prioritising workload effectively.
Highly motivated, self-driven and confident working with a wide range of people.
Business analysis experience with a track record of delivering key projects and solutions.
Experience developing system testing materials and training manuals.
Previous experience gained working within an operations or technology environment.
Strong analytical and report development skills, specifically Power BI.
