Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant, to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing account receivable/payable and cashbook for 2 main dealerships and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external customers. Your expertise in accounting software will be essential in optimising cashflow.
Responsibilities
- Process of invoices and credit.
- Liaise with suppliers and customer to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Reconciling statements, and queries in a timely manner.
- Creating payment files.
- Processing customer payments.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications with suppliers regarding invoices.
- Collaborate with the finance team to report on cash flow forecasts and aged debt analysis.
- Utilise accounting software for effective account management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash book management.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounts processes and financial principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with suppliers and customers.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate reporting and record keeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
