Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Content Creator & Store Supervisor to join our growing Asian grocery store in Southampton. This is a unique role combining social media content creation, customer engagement, and retail operations.
The successful candidate will be confident creating videos and promotional content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, while also assisting with the day-to-day running of the store. You will play a key role in promoting our products, increasing our online presence, and delivering excellent customer service.
Applicants who can speak Malayalam or Tamil are encouraged to apply, as this will help us better engage with our customer community. Previous experience in retail, particularly in an Asian grocery or off-licence store, is desirable but not essential.

Duties
- Develop and curate compelling content for social media channels, including images, videos, and written posts that align with brand identity.
- Manage daily social media activities, including scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring analytics to optimise performance.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with online audiences through active engagement and prompt responses.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns and collaborations to enhance brand visibility and reach target audiences.
- Oversee sales operations by supervising sales staff, setting targets, and implementing strategies to increase revenue.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Organise training sessions for team members on social media best practices and customer engagement techniques.
- Ensure all content complies with brand guidelines and maintains a professional tone across platforms.
Skills
- Fluent in Malayalam or Tamil and able to communicate effectively in English.
- Confident in creating engaging social media content, including videos, reels, and promotional posts.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking on camera.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to assist with general store duties, including stocking shelves, merchandising, and operating the till.
- Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
