Job Description General
Group-IPS is looking for a Project Design Engineer (PDE) with experience in 3D piping design and modelling of process and utility systems (Product, Hot Water, Cold Water, Compressed Air, Steam, etc.) to join the team. This individual will need to exhibit the following characteristics:

- Professionally interact and work with client engineering and non-engineering teams
Job Description
- Develop 3D piping models and layouts for process and utility systems (hot water, cold water, compressed air, steam, product liquids, chocolate, etc.)
- Manage overall project 3D model. Integrate OEM models, perform clash detection. General BIM and Document Coordination
- Lead and/or assist in the creation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Produce isometrics, equipment layouts, and general arrangement drawings; support plant model coordination and clash detection
- Ensure design and drafting standards comply with industry codes, standards, and client specifications
- Coordinate closely with process/calculation engineers to translate design data into accurate models and drawings
- Support development of cost estimates, material take-offs, schedules, and bid packages
- Provide technical input during procurement and construction phases
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team
Job Requirements
General
- Education: Engineering - Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or equivalent design/drafting technology degree
- Software knowledge: AutoCAD / AutoCAD Plant 3D (required), Revit or Navisworks, MS Office (required), Microsoft Project
- Driver's License
- Applicant should have ability to travel internationally, including US
Experience Profile
- 2+ years of experience in 3D piping design/modelling in an industrial environment
- Responsible for deliverable packages ranging from 50 to 200 documents
- Experience with ASME, EN, and ISO standards
- Experience with system sizing and analysis a plus
