Duties
- Safely operate a van or light commercial vehicle to make multiple deliveries throughout the designated area
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and reduce fuel consumption
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or issues
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols to maintain a clean driving record
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents or delays during the shift
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver, with a strong understanding of commercial driving principles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial vehicle operation
- Experience with warehouse operations or handling heavy lifting is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of local roads, navigation tools, and route planning techniques
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform repetitive loading/unloading tasks

Pay: £12.71-£13.44 per hour
