Key responsibilities
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children, enjoys leading a team and wants to make a real difference in a nursery where children are at the heart of everything we do.
As our Nursery Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, supporting and leading the staff team, building positive relationships with families and making sure we continue to provide a safe, happy and inspiring environment for every child.
You'll work closely with the Nursery Owners and Operations Manager to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and continues to grow and thrive.
What you'll be doing: As Nursery Manager, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Lead, support and motivate the staff team, helping everyone to be the best they can be.
- Ensure the nursery meets all EYFS requirements and complies with current legislation.
- Make sure children receive the highest standard of care, learning and development.
- Promote a safe, secure and nurturing environment where children can flourish.
- Ensure safeguarding is always a top priority and that all staff follow nursery policies and procedures.
- Monitor the quality of practice across the nursery and encourage continuous improvement.
- Deal with any staff performance concerns in a supportive and professional way.
- Keep records up to date, including accidents, incidents, medication and risk assessments.
- Organise staff meetings and communicate any updates or changes.
- Work towards the nursery's goals and support the continued success of the setting.
- Help maintain a clean, welcoming and well-resourced environment.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers and outside professionals.
- Carry out any other duties that support the smooth running of the nursery.

- A good understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and current childcare legislation.
Qualifications required
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- At least three years' experience in a management role within an early year’s setting.
- An Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one) and be registered with the DBS Update Service.
- At least two satisfactory references.
- A Leadership and Management qualification.
- Paediatric First Aid.
- Experience managing nursery budgets and occupancy.
