We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Supervisor to join the team at Ninja Leisure Milton Keynes.
Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll help lead the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring our customers receive an outstanding experience every time they visit.
You’ll be a visible and hands-on leader, supporting and developing the team, maintaining high operational and health & safety standards, and helping the venue achieve its financial and customer experience targets.
You’ll also play an important role in promoting our retail and food & beverage offerings, helping to maximise revenue while keeping the customer experience fun and engaging.
Ultimately, you’ll help make Ninja Leisure Milton Keynes the go-to family-friendly leisure destination in the area, known for great experiences, excellent service and plenty of fun.
- Lead by example and create a positive, energetic and inclusive team culture.
- Support, coach and develop team members to reach their full potential.
- Recognise and reward great performance while addressing underperformance fairly and effectively.
- Communicate company objectives, performance and important updates clearly and consistently.
- Support recruitment, induction and onboarding of new team members.
- Take responsibility for the welfare, development and performance of your direct reports.
- Conduct regular 1-to-1s, feedback and performance conversations in line with company processes.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with other Ninja Leisure Supervisors and the wider management team.
- Deputise for the General Manager / Assistant General Manager when required.
- Be a visible presence across the venue, building positive relationships with customers and team members.
- Open and close the venue independently, completing all required checks and procedures.
- Identify and report operational issues, hazards and maintenance requirements promptly.
- Help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.
- Support the implementation and ongoing review of operating procedures.
- Help maintain and protect the venue’s assets, equipment, stock and resources.
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed, communicated and regularly reviewed.
- Stay up to date with relevant developments within the leisure and hospitality industry and identify opportunities to improve the venue.
- Attend and contribute to departmental and company meetings.
- Help deliver consistently high standards across all areas of the venue.
- Deliver and promote a customer-first culture across the venue.
- Ensure every team member provides friendly, professional and engaging service.
- Respond positively and effectively to customer feedback and issues.
- Help create memorable experiences that encourage customers to return.
- Support the management team in achieving revenue, contribution and KPI targets.
- Promote retail and food & beverage products in a fun and effective way.
- Follow and monitor all financial controls and purchasing procedures.
- Complete retail month-end and stock-taking procedures in line with company requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed.
- Support the management team in keeping the venue’s section of the BGL website accurate and up to date.
- Help promote activities, offers and experiences available at the venue where appropriate.
- At least 1 year’s people management experience.
- Experience working in a hands-on, customer-facing environment.
- Previous key holder experience.
- Experience carrying out health & safety checks and following safety procedures.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
- Strong organisation, planning and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage a busy workload.
- Good delegation and leadership skills.
- Strong coaching and team development skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Confident problem-solving and decision-making skills.
