Role Purpose
The Activities & Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating engaging, inclusive and meaningful programmes with our activity team leaders. The postholder will oversee daily activities, support member engagement, and ensure members’ voices shape provision through a co-production approach.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Delivery & Operations
- Run the day-to-day operational side of activities and programmes
- Ensure registers are accurately completed using Plinth
- Work with sessional leaders to plan activities, recipes, songs, celebrations and showcases
Member Engagement & Development
- Build strong relationships with members to support confidence and participation
- Identify and support individual needs to ensure full inclusion
- Support onboarding and induction of new members
- Organise and deliver online activities via Zoom
Impact & Evaluation
- Measure impact through photos, videos, diaries and interviews
- Work with parents/carers to create case studies demonstrating outcomes
Co-Production & Member Voice
- Work in line with a co-production model to ensure members’ voices guide delivery
- Encourage member input into activity design and programme direction
Projects & Initiatives
- Develop and lead a member podcast project:
- “Real Voices. Honest Questions. Unexpected Answers.”
- Create engaging activities around national days and cultural celebrationsEvents & Community Engagement
- Organise social activities such as walks, picnics and outings
- Support showcasing member talents and community engagement
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience working with young people or community groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Creative and proactive approach
- Basic digital skills (Zoom, media capture)
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have use of own car
Desirable
- Experience of co-production
- Experience capturing impact and storytelling
- Event or activity planning experience
- Understanding of inclusive practices
