Handmade Kitchens Direct Ltd designs and manufactures premium bespoke kitchens and fitted furniture, built to exceptional standards of craftsmanship. Every project is made to order, and we take immense pride in producing furniture that is built to last using traditional joinery methods alongside modern machinery.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Bench Joiner to join our workshop. We are open to both full-time and part-time applications, and for the right person we are happy to offer flexibility around working hours.
The Role
You will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke kitchens and furniture from technical drawings, producing work to the highest standard from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture bespoke kitchens and fitted furniture.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Build high-quality cabinetry with exceptional accuracy.
- Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assemble cabinets, drawer boxes, doors and furniture components.
- Maintain excellent quality control and attention to detail.
- Work as part of a skilled team to deliver projects on schedule.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience as a Bench Joiner or Cabinet Maker.
- Can confidently work from technical drawings.
- Takes genuine pride in producing first-class workmanship.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is reliable, motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Has experience using workshop machinery and hand tools safely.
Desirable Experience
- Manufacturing bespoke kitchens or high-end fitted furniture.
- Working with hardwoods, veneered boards and traditional cabinet construction.
- Experience with furniture assembly and fine finishing.
