We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Co-ordinator to join our dedicated team and help enrich the lives of our residents through meaningful and engaging activities.
As our Activities Co-ordinator, you will play an important role in promoting the emotional, physical and social wellbeing of our residents by planning and delivering a varied programme of activities tailored to individual interests and abilities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference every day and understands the value of purposeful engagement within a care setting.
Experience working within a nursing home or care setting is essential.
Previous experience in an activities role is essential.
A genuine passion for improving residents' wellbeing and quality of life.
The ability to plan and facilitate a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, music, reminiscence sessions, games, gardening and community-based initiatives.
Confidence to support residents on both a one-to-one basis and in group settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
A positive, proactive and enthusiastic approach.
Develop and deliver a weekly activities programme that reflects residents' needs, preferences and abilities.
Encourage and support residents to participate in activities that promote independence, confidence and wellbeing.
Adapt activities to ensure they are inclusive and meaningful for all residents.
Work closely with care staff and families to provide person-centred activities and experiences.
Organise themed events, seasonal celebrations and opportunities for community involvement.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and evaluate the effectiveness of activities.
Source new ideas and initiatives to continually enhance the activities programme.
