Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood curriculum standards.
- Supervise children during play, meal times, naps, and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns, reporting to parents and management as necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines and special events within the nursery.
- Support new staff members through mentoring and sharing best practices in childcare management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the nursery.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities.
- Assist in managing the nursery's resources efficiently to support educational programmes.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with children, parents, and colleagues professionally.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures.
- Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach towards young children.
- Organised with good time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities; however, not essential.

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
