Duties
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
- Using hand tools and power tools to carry out wiring, cabling, and fitting tasks
- Interpreting technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Conducting routine inspections of electrical equipment to identify faults or potential hazards
- Assisting senior electricians in complex projects and troubleshooting electrical issues
- Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical systems
- Practical electrical experience in installation, maintenance, or repair roles
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work safely in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical work are desirable but not essential for Mates willing to learn on the job
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills
