Role Overview:
We currently have a team of Service and Maintenance engineers covering our biomass installations throughout the UK and we are looking to expand this team via the recruitment of an additional full time Biomass Service Engineer for our Glasgow based service team.
We are looking for an engineer who must have previous biomass experience and the ability to carry out service, maintenance, and repair tasks on completed biomass boiler projects.
An in-depth knowledge of the Commercial Plumbing and Heating industry and Herz Biomass Boiler range would offer a distinct advantage to the applicant; however product specific training shall be provided for the successful applicant.
The position will cover a set geographical area within Central / Lowlands Scotland and will require commitment to travel and may on occasion require overnight stays.
The Biomass engineer will be required to carry out operation and maintenance tasks on completed biomass boiler projects in the area set out above. The installed biomass plants are typically within the Public Sector Estate and will require engagement direct with the various local authorities.
- Carry out Planned & Reactive maintenance tasks on commercial heating systems to include pumps, control valves, pressurisation units, and associated Mechanical / Electrical Services incl. Control Systems, Fuel Stores and augers.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and equipment failures, diagnosing issues and implementing repairs using own initiative engineering experience to minimize downtime.
- Conduct servicing tasks to a high standard ensuring legislative & contractual compliance is upheld.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed on site, via company tablet and cloud based asset management software.
- Provide excellent customer service, integrating with client representatives on site and building strong relations with key members of our client’s team.
- Collaborate with internal team members and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
