Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our nurturing team. The ideal candidate must have experience working with young children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves providing a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for infants and toddlers, ensuring their developmental needs are met while fostering their growth and learning.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for babies.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development in line with early years frameworks.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Manage daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, and nap times in a calm and organised manner.
- Work collaboratively with other practitioners to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's environment and educational offerings.
Skills
- Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles to effectively manage children's learning experiences.
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to drive initiatives that improve the quality of care provided within the nursery setting.
- A nurturing attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
