Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ANPR technologies, and be able to install a full car park setup including the Signage, Posts, ANPR and CCTV Cameras, Routers etc.
You need to be as happy with digging holes and trenches, as you are wiring a camera and terminating CAT5 cables.
The work is as diverse as it is rewarding, and can take you from Cornwall to Scotland with occasional nights away required, but most work does not require this.
You will be using a works vehicle and tools; you are expected to be professional, and capable - with a winning way as you will be client facing.
Directed by our in-house projects team your role also includes monitoring of the installed car parks and technology, and offering support both remotely and on-site to our clients and partners.
You will receive training as required, but should have a good understanding of electrical work and are able to work safely when alone.
This role involves installing systems and equipment, ensuring they function correctly and meet client specifications.
Duties
- Install and configure equipment, including CCTV systems, ANPR, lighting columns, posts signage and solar panels when required.
- Read and interpret documents to ensure accurate installations.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to complete installation tasks.
- Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process, providing solutions as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in installation roles, particularly hands on where you need to affect the entire location.
- Ability to read plans and sitemaps accurately.
- Proficient in using both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to do light Ground-working as required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and techniques within the industry.
