Job Description
Westbury Windows & Joinery are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive individual to operate our recently acquired linear paint spraying machine.
The successful candidate will be preparing previously machined linear components to ensure the correct surface in readiness for painting. They will then be required to run each item through the linear paint machine and achieve the required level of prime & top coat finish.
There will also be a requirement to assist within our assemble department with preparing products for paint. This will involve, but not be limited to, filling, pinning beads, rubbing down & sanding.
Key Duties
· Preparing & de-nibbing each component prior to painting
· Ensuring all surfaces are clear of grease, dirt & dust
· Setting & running the linear paint machine
· Undertaking touch up’s on any defective areas of paintwork
· Working towards an understanding of paint colours, codes & standards
· Assisting with wrapping of finished products
· Assistance with preparing components for painting
· Assisting with moving products from the paint department once dry
· Maintaining the linear paint machine weekly
Requirements:
· Experience setting, operating & maintaining a linear paint machine
· Experience within a factory setting in the joinery industry
· A proven history painting timber components
· Knowledge of pre-paring timber products for painting
· Comfortable working with timber products
· Able to read & follow production paperwork & technical drawings
· Responsible, reliable & conscientious individual
· Warm & friendly approach
· Hardworking individual who takes pride in what they do
· Good command of spoken & written English and be able to work within a team
Hours of Work
· 06.00 to 14:30pm Monday to Friday
