Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Principal Lawyer to lead and support a team delivering high-quality legal services across areas such as adult social care, children's services, education and housing. The successful candidate will manage a high-level caseload, provide expert advice to senior officers and members, supervise and develop staff, and help drive continuous improvement across the service.

- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Substantial experience and specialist knowledge in at least one area of law covered by the team including: Adult Social Care/ Children Services/ Education or Housing
Education
- Minimum 2:2 Honours Degree (anysubject) or equivalent Desirable
- Practising Solicitor or Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (ability to conduct litigation on behalf of the council) Essential

Pay: £51,356.00-£60,771.00 per year
