We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to co-lead our Walkden retail store. This role isn’t just about day-to-day supervision – it’s about driving performance, coaching the team, and ensuring the store runs like clockwork. From elevating customer experience to ensuring operational excellence, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how our customers see Specscart.
- Lead and support daily store operations: sales, customer service, order processing, and timely dispatch.
- Monitor KPIs (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and implement action plans to achieve targets.
- Maintain accurate inventory controls and ensure smooth stock movement.
- Deliver personalised eyewear recommendations, ensuring every customer leaves delighted.
- Coach, mentor, and performance-manage the team to maximise potential.
- Conduct operational audits to uphold store standards, compliance, and efficiency.
- Partner with the Head of Retail on initiatives to drive sales growth and enhance customer experience.
- Proven management experience in retail (Assistant Manager, Team Leader, or Supervisor level). Preferred to have an experience from optical retail, fashion, or healthcare-related sectors.
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs and ability to deliver results through people and process.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable.
- Commercial acumen with a customer-first mindset.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Full-time availability, including weekends.
