Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legionella Risk Assessor to join our specialised environmental compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of water systems to identify potential Legionella bacteria risks, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of water systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings to assess Legionella risk levels.
- Collect water samples accurately for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Ability to access difficult or confined spaces safely during assessments.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, risk levels, and recommended remedial actions.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to develop effective water management plans that mitigate Legionella proliferation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practices related to Legionella control.
- Assist in the installation or maintenance of water treatment systems if required, employing construction experience where applicable.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or a related technical field is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable proficiency with IT systems, Word, Excel and building inspections or maintenance tasks.
- Previous experience with water system assessments or environmental health roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assessments efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to prepare clear reports and liaise effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
- A valid UK driving licence is essential due to travel requirements between sites.
- A proactive attitude towards health and safety standards, with the ability to identify potential hazards promptly.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
