About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in leading a high-quality early years setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and education while supporting and developing a dedicated team.
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring children receive the very best start in life within a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
- Help maintain outstanding standards of care, learning, and child development in line with the EYFS.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and support the nursery team to deliver consistently high-quality practice.
- Identify training and development opportunities, encouraging continuous professional growth.
- Assist with occupancy planning, staffing levels, and operational requirements.
- Build positive, professional relationships with children, parents, carers, and external professionals.
- Support the management of parent enquiries, concerns, and complaints in line with nursery policies.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and all regulatory requirements are consistently met.
- Lead by example, creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive working environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience as a Senior Practitioner, Room Leader, or Deputy Nursery Manager.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and early years legislation.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- A positive, adaptable, and approachable attitude with the ability to inspire those around you.
