We are looking for an outstanding leader to join us as our CCTV Manager.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the development, delivery and future direction of the Council's Public Realm CCTV Service. You will be responsible for a significant portfolio of CCTV technology, infrastructure and investment projects that support community safety, reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and help ensure residents, businesses and visitors feel safe across the borough.
As CCTV Manager, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for the operation, compliance and continuous improvement of our public realm CCTV systems. You will drive innovation, identify opportunities for future investment, manage major projects and ensure our systems remain legally compliant, technologically advanced and fit for the future.
Working closely with colleagues across community safety, highways, housing, regeneration, neighbourhood services and external partners including the police, you will play a key role in shaping how technology supports the Council's wider ambitions for safer communities and thriving places.
What you'll be doing:

Developing the Council's Public Realm CCTV service and specialist CCTV team
- Managing and enhancing our borough-wide CCTV infrastructure and redeployable camera network
- Delivering complex technology and infrastructure projects from concept to completion
- Driving service improvement through data, performance monitoring and innovation
- Managing budgets, contracts and suppliers to ensure value for money
- Providing professional advice across a range of Council services and partner organisations
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, information governance requirements and CCTV best practice
- Identifying and securing future investment opportunities to strengthen and modernise the service
We're looking for an experienced manager who combines strong technical and project management skills with excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
You will have:

Experience managing CCTV systems, security technology or similar infrastructure services
- Strong knowledge of CCTV legislation, data protection, information governance and compliance requirements
- Experience of leading teams and driving high performance
- A successful track record of delivering complex projects and programmes
- Experience of managing budgets, contracts and external suppliers
- The ability to build effective relationships with partners and stakeholders at all levels
- A passion for public service and improving outcomes for communities
