Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and courteous Coach Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while maintaining a high standard of customer service and vehicle cleanliness. You will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of route planning, vehicle maintenance, and road safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Driving: Operate coaches in a safe, responsible, and considerate manner at all times, in line with road laws and company policies.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all passengers; be polite, approachable, and helpful at all times.
- Route Planning: Use a truck/coach-specific TomTom or similar GPS to map out and follow efficient and legal routes.
- Vehicle Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, both inside and out. Clean your vehicle regularly to meet company standards.
- Appearance: Present yourself in a clean, professional manner at all times while on duty.
- Driving Hours Compliance: Ensure all journeys comply with legal driving hours and rest breaks as per DVSA regulations.
- Courtesy on the Road: Show respect and consideration to other road users at all times.
- Pre-Trip Checks: Carry out daily walkaround checks and report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Valid PCV (Category D) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Proven experience as a coach or bus driver preferred
- Knowledge of tachograph regulations and drivers’ hours
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong focus on safety and customer service
- Ability to plan and adapt routes using appropriate GPS systems
Desirable:
- Previous experience with tour work or long-distance coach driving
- Local area knowledge
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
