Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, experienced and physically fit Removal Man to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient transportation of goods and furniture during removals. This role involves heavy lifting, careful handling of items, and excellent communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction. Previous experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial driving is essential. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where organisational skills and physical endurance are essential.
Duties
- Driving and looking after a 3.5T luton removals van
- loading and unloading furniture and goods onto vans
- Safely transporting items between locations, ensuring they are secure during transit
- Heavy lifting of household or office items, sometimes requiring manoeuvring through tight spaces
- Communicating effectively with clients and team members to coordinate moving schedules
- Ensuring all items are handled with care to prevent damage
- Assisting with the organisation of items within storage areas or vehicles
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout the day
- Following health and safety procedures at all times during the move
Qualifications
- Prior experience is essential
- Valid driving licence, preferably with commercial driving experience, over 25 and a maximum of 3 points
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Experience in commercial driving or operating large vehicles is advantageous
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks during busy periods
- Physical fitness to handle long periods of manual labour and lifting heavy objects
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Pay: £120.00-£130.00 per day
