Van Dan Removals is looking for an experienced, reliable Removals Team Leader / Driver to join our team.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone confident taking control of large-scale removals, managing a team on site, and ensuring every job runs safely, efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Leading and organising a removals team on large-scale moves
- Driving a Luton van to and from removal jobs
- Planning loading order and ensuring all items are safely secured for transport
- Delegating tasks clearly and keeping the team working efficiently
- Loading and unloading furniture, boxes and household items safely
- Protecting customers’ belongings, property and access areas with care
- Handling basic furniture dismantling and reassembly where required
- Communicating professionally with customers throughout the move
- Taking responsibility for the standard, timing and smooth running of each job
Requirements
- Aged 25 or over
- Full UK driving licence, held for at least 3 years
- No more than 6 points on your driving licence
- Proven experience driving a Luton van
- Previous removals experience, including experience leading or supervising a team
- Fully confident managing larger moves and making decisions on site
- Physically fit and capable of safely moving heavy furniture
- Reliable, punctual, hardworking and well organised
- Professional, calm and polite with customers
- Strong communication skills and a good team attitude
- One reference from a previous employer is required as part of the application process
Job type: Full-time / Flexible
Pay: Starting from £16 per hour, with progression up to £20 per hour for the right person based on long-term commitment, reliability and consistently high-quality work.
Performance bonuses are also available for moves completed to a high standard, receiving 5-star customer reviews and with no avoidable damages or breakages.
