Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Passenger Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to children/young people requiring assistance during transportation. This role involves ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers, particularly those with special needs or health conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care environments and possess a caring demeanour with excellent communication skills. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals while working within a supportive team.
Duties
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from transport vehicles, ensuring safety at all times
- Support passengers with special needs/cognitive impairments
- Ensure proper behaviour management and maintain a calm environment during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of passenger care and behaviour during journeys
- Follow health and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to passenger support
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour effectively
- Previous experience in childcare or eldercare is beneficial but not essential

This is a split shift role. Hours approx 7.30am to 8.45am and 2.10pm to 3.30pm. School term time only. September '26 start.
Pay: £12.71-£12.72 per hour
