The Leisure and Fitness Assistant will work as part of the UCS College Group Sports Development Team, supporting the effective day-to-day operation and development of the College’s leisure, sport, health and fitness facilities.
The post holder will provide a high-quality, welcoming and customer-focused service to students, staff, members, community users, clubs and visitors across the College Group. This will include supporting facility operations, setting up and clearing away sports equipment, undertaking reception and customer service duties, processing payments, maintaining facility standards and supporting the safe and effective use of sports and fitness spaces.
The post holder will also support the delivery of the College’s Health and Fitness provision, including gym membership, fitness facilities, classes and wider physical activity opportunities. They will contribute to creating a positive member experience and support the promotion and growth of the College’s health, fitness and leisure offer.
Working collaboratively with the Sports Development Team, the post holder will support the delivery of sport, leisure, health and fitness activity and contribute to the promotion of facilities and programmes both internally and externally. They will work flexibly as part of a wider team to ensure facilities are appropriately staffed, accessible and maintained to a high standard.
The role will involve working across a range of sports and leisure environments and may include shifts during evenings, weekends and College holiday periods, reflecting the operational needs of the College’s commercial leisure provision.
