HS Roofing & Construction Ltd | Bath and surrounding area | £[rate] per day
We're a heritage and conservation roofing specialist based just outside Bath and an NFRC member. Our work is natural slate, traditional leadwork, Bath stone, lime mortar and listed buildings — the kind of jobs that reward doing things properly.
We're looking for a genuinely all-round roofer to join us on a self-employed basis with regular, ongoing work.
What the role involves
You'll work across the full range of our jobs — strips and re-roofs, natural slate and clay tile, traditional leadwork, valleys, verges and ridges, chimney and parapet work, and flat roof systems. Most weeks will mix conservation work with straightforward domestic jobs.
What you'll need
- Your own van
- Your own tools and kit
- Lead welding to a high standard
- Confident across all roof coverings — slate, tile, and flat roof
- Solid muck work — bedding, ridges, verges and pointing
- A basic level of structural carpentry, so you can deal with reboarding and running gutters, rafters, battens, firrings and timber repairs as they come up,
- Driving licence
- CSCS card, UTR and CIS registration, and your own public liability insurance (or willingness to sort these before starting)
What we offer
- Consistent work with a settled, established firm
- Interesting projects on listed and conservation-area buildings
- Prompt, reliable payments each Friday
- A long-term working relationship, not job-to-job
If you take pride in your finish and want steady work with a company that cares about the details, we'd like to hear from you.
To apply: send a short message with your experience and a few photos of recent work to [email protected] and we'll respond ASAP.
Pay: £180.00-£250.00 per day
Work Location: In person
