We have an exciting opportunity for a RGN with oncology experience to join our team of sarcoma specialist nurses to support and maintain excellence of clinical care for teenage and adult patients under the care of the sarcoma service at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (ROHNHSFT).
The postholder will work as a member of our Macmillan specialist nursing team in planning, coordinating and delivering patient care for teenagers and adults with sarcoma and metastatic bone disease. The post holder will support patients diagnosed with sarcoma and their families to ensure effective communication relating to treatment pathways and to ensure that the patient and family experience is exemplary throughout the patient journey.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) acts as a keyworker and facilitates the provision of specialist orthopaedic oncology care for patients and their families, co-ordinating care across the cancer journey, providing information and support. As an integral part of the multi professional team the postholder will work closely with the extended multi -disciplinary team oncology team to ensure effective communication relating to treatment pathways and patient experience.
