Overview
We are looking to recruit a dedicated and efficient Order Picker - General Warehouse Operative to join our growing dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
- Assist in unloading containers
- Using hand held scanners when picking
- Work to and achieve agreed picking targets
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with stock management processes and quality control procedures.
- Ability to perform regular heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety.
- Must be physically fit due to nature of work and time spent on feet during shift
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems for order processing desirable
- Strong attention to detail with excellent picking skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Own transport preferred due to location
