Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to clients and distribution centers
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure on-time arrivals
- Load, secure, and unload cargo with care, adhering to safety protocols and weight limits
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and complete all necessary documentation accurately
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain a clean driving record by following traffic laws and company policies at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, especially with flatbed or commercial vehicles
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred
- Knowledge of safe cargo handling practices for secure transportation on flatbeds
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps or use GPS technology effectively
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in various weather conditions
- Exceptional time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability
- Clear communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
