Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions focused on the EDEXCEL A-Level Biology syllabus, ensuring clarity and comprehension of complex biological topics.
- Assess students’ current knowledge levels and create customized lesson plans that address individual learning needs and goals.
- Use effective teaching strategies to motivate students, making biology engaging and accessible for learners of varying abilities.
- Provide constructive feedback on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating achievements to boost confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and areas covered for continuous monitoring and reporting.
- Support students in developing exam techniques, time management skills, and effective study habits specific to A-Level Biology assessments.
- Communicate clearly with students and guardians about learning objectives, progress updates, and upcoming milestones.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching biology at the A-Level (EDEXCEL curriculum preferred).
- Strong knowledge of biological sciences with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable way.
- Experience working with children or young adults, demonstrating patience and adaptability.
- Familiarity with special education needs (SEN) to support diverse learning requirements effectively.
