Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate Chef de Partie to join our new dynamic kitchen team. You will be responsible for running your designated section, ensuring high food quality, consistency, and presentation while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Manage your designated kitchen section.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure all food is produced according to recipes, specifications, and presentation guidelines.
- Assist with menu development and daily specials using seasonal produce.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering requirements to senior chefs.
- Minimise food waste through effective stock rotation and portion control.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and comply with all HACCP and health & safety regulations.
- Ensure your section is clean, organised, and fully prepared before each service.
- Support, train, and mentor Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver smooth and efficient service.
- Adapt quickly during busy periods while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Report equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
Skills & Experience
- 3 years previous experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Demi Chef de Partie ready to progress.
- Strong knowledge of fresh food preparation
- Experience in a high-quality restaurant, gastropub, or hotel kitchen.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Food Hygiene Level 2
- Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
