Job Description:
As a Funeral Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support throughout the funeral planning process. You will liaise with families, assist with funeral arrangements, manage documentation, and ensure smooth operations of the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the funeral directors and team.
- Assist families in arranging funeral services, including taking calls, scheduling appointments, and organizing details.
- Manage funeral service paperwork, including death certificates, burial permits, and other necessary documentation.
- Coordinate logistics for funeral services, including transportation, flower orders, and other details.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Handle financial transactions, including billing, payments, and invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Offer excellent customer service to grieving families and support them with care and professionalism.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative role (experience in funeral services is a plus).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other administrative software.
- A calm and professional demeanor, especially when dealing with grieving families.

The office opening hours are 8.45am-1.00pm Monday to Friday.
Pay: £15,758.00 per year
