Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class 2 Tipper Driver . In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle equipped with a tipper mechanism to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various sites.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 tipper truck, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including brakes, lights, tires, and tipper functionality
- unload materials using the tipper mechanism, ensuring proper handling and securement of loads
- Deliver materials to designated locations accurately and on schedule, maintaining professionalism at all times
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety guidelines, and environmental regulations during operations
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a focus on delivery operations
- Strong knowledge of flatbed handling and securing loads for safe transit
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and valid Class 2 license
- Familiarity with operating tipper trucks safely and efficiently
- Ability to navigate routes confidently using GPS or maps and adapt to changing schedules or conditions
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
