Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting various construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects. Your energy and hands-on approach will help ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the beautification and upkeep of outdoor spaces and construction sites.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Site Preparation: Digging trenches, grading soil, and clearing away debris or hazards before building starts.
Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and moving heavy building supplies like bricks, timber, and concrete around the site.
Trade Support: Fetching tools and holding materials for skilled workers such as carpenters, and bricklayers.
Site Maintenance: Keeping the work area clean, setting up safety barriers, and removing waste.
Basic Construction: Mixing concrete, helping put up scaffolding tower, and operating basic power tools
Requirements and Skills
Physical Fitness: High level of strength and stamina to lift heavy loads and stand for long hours outdoors.
Safety Awareness: Following strict health and safety rules, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Teamwork: Good communication skills to work well with other workers and supervisors.
Reliability: Punctual, hardworking, and able to follow direct instructions carefully.
Qualifications:
* CSCS Green Labourer Card (Minimum).
* Other relevant safety training (Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Safety Harness, banksman etc). Desirable - training will be provided for right candidates.
* Experience in the position or similar role.
Direct employment - PAYE.
Area of works to be various sites across Swansea to Carmarthen.
Housing experience desirable.
