We're looking for an ambitious Registered General Nurse leader to be a part of the Health and Justice Team at HMP Manchester who already has experience in a leadership role.
The Primary Care Manager will support the continual development of the service by providing community equitable services to the population of those in custody at HMP Manchester.

The post holder will be supported with the security checking procedure (Counter Terrorism Clearance) to enable them to work in a High Secure Environment which must be maintained as a condition of employment.
The main role of the post holder is one of proactive management of healthcare delivery, supporting the Head of Healthcare/Clinical Service Manager to maintain the strategic direction and delivering the agreed contractual requirements and performance targets, within the financial framework of the Primary Care Team budget and service specification.
To be a core member of the leadership team and work together as a whole Healthcare department with a flexible approach and team working experience.
The post includes responsibility for all aspects of HR and people management, leading, motivating and developing staff within their profession and support enhancing their clinical skills.
Maintaining service provision within the Trusts governance framework in delivering agreed standards of care and working with outside agencies who are contracted to deliver aspects of the service to deliver high quality care.
To develop, restructure and align staffing capacity to meet service demand to deliver agreed waiting times and be able to step into numbers at times when minimum staffing numbers are compromised.
