ABOUT MANDY SUPPORT LTD
Mandy Support Ltd is a children’s residential care provider preparing to open a solo placement home for young people aged 10–17. Our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing, structured and supportive environment where young people can feel valued, protected and encouraged to achieve positive outcomes.
We are currently recruiting Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for caring, reliable and committed individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
THE ROLE
As a Support Worker / Senior Support Worker, you will support children and young people in a residential setting, helping to create a safe, stable and positive home environment.
You will be involved in day-to-day care, routines, activities, safeguarding, emotional support, record keeping and working as part of a team to meet the individual needs of each young person.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support young people with their daily routines, activities and personal development
- Promote a safe, caring and structured environment
- Build positive, professional relationships with young people
- Support young people with education, appointments, hobbies and community activities
- Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
- Maintain accurate daily records, incident reports and handover notes
- Work as part of a team to deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Support young people with emotional regulation, boundaries and positive behaviour
- Attend supervision, training and team meetings as required
- Work in line with Mandy Support Ltd policies, safeguarding standards and children’s home regulations
SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER RESPONSIBILITIES
Senior Support Workers may also be required to:
- Support shift leadership and daily coordination of the home
- Guide and support other team members during shifts
- Assist with care planning, risk management and key working
- Support medication procedures, audits and compliance tasks where required
- Escalate concerns appropriately to management

EXPERIENCE
Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
- Children’s residential care
- Supported living
- Youth work
- Mental health support
- Learning disabilities
- Education or behaviour support
- Care/support work
- Safeguarding or complex needs support
Previous experience in a children’s residential home is preferred, especially for Senior Support Worker applicants, but we will consider candidates with strong transferable experience and the right values.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be willing to complete safer recruitment checks, including:

- Proof of address
- Training and onboarding requirements
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable but not essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
Desirable but not essential:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Health and Social Care qualification
- Safeguarding training
- First Aid training
- Positive behaviour support / de-escalation training
Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory training as part of the onboarding process.
SHIFT PATTERN
Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and bank work depending on the needs of the home.
Exact shift patterns will be discussed during the interview process.
