Description
An exciting opportunity for someone wishing to pursue a career in the outdoor activity industry. Cumulus is a premier outdoor activity and residential centre based in Swanage. It offers purpose build bunkhouse accommodation and action packed land and water activities for schools, youth groups and families.
Duties and responsibilies:
Supporting with planning and preparing for activities, demonstrating and instructing, with ability to motivate groups and individuals with centre related activity, both outdoor and indoor.
Carrying out safety checks and explaining safety procedures and requirements to both groups and individuals.
Assessing and manging risk, promoting inclusion with whole group participation whilst working to inspire environmental stewardship.
Supporting team and working with centre staff on a day to day basis in order to facilitate the centre’s offer to a wide range of groups and individuals.
You must have:
Strong communication skills, ability to work as a team worker, patience, empathy, enthusiasm and good organisational skills.

Entry requirements
Ideally with existing Functional Skills / GCSE at L2 / 4 in Maths and English, with some existing related experience or ability to develop within outdoor activity education
Training to be provided
Level 3 Outdoor Activities Instructor apprenticeship.
Functional skills in Maths and English if required.
