Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to ensure healthy and attractive gardens and lawns
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment including excavators, irrigation systems, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently
- Support installation projects by digging trenches, laying sod, planting trees and shrubs, and preparing sites for new landscaping features
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Assist with irrigation system installation, repairs, and adjustments to promote efficient water use across various sites
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects such as retaining walls, pathways, or other hardscape features
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery like excavators or power tools is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and wheelbarrows is essential
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus
- Construction experience or background in outdoor project work will support success in this role
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform manual tasks throughout the day
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in outdoor environments
