Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter / Cleaner to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting culinary staff and ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are upheld. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and eager to contribute to a professional kitchen setting.
Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to meet hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as required
- Keeping kitchen work surfaces, floors, and equipment clean and organised
- Supporting the culinary team with light food preparation and serving duties when needed
- Ensuring waste disposal is managed correctly and bins are emptied regularly
- Restocking supplies and ensuring cleaning materials are replenished
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary processes is desirable
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles can be beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen environment
