We are looking for Support Workers to join our team in Clacton working with children and young people with complex needs.
Providing residential care for two children, supporting those with learning disabilities.
We offer the opportunity to develop your knowledge and deliver a high standard of care to children and young people accessing our services.
Experience is not essential; however, successful applicants must demonstrate a commitment to learning and working towards the BTEC Level 3 in Residential Childcare following successful completion of the probationary period.
Support Workers should be enthusiastic, confident, and willing to manage shifts, while developing the knowledge and skills required for the role.
Job Responsibilities
- Supporting children and young people aged 5–18 years
- Acting as a positive role model, encouraging confidence, independence, and life skills
- Setting clear and consistent boundaries, supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
- Promoting positive interactions and relationships
- Contributing to a safe, nurturing environment that supports social, emotional, and physical well being
- Respecting dignity at all times
- Supporting with personal care where required
Additional Information
- A driving licence is desirable but not essential
- The role includes a variety of shifts, including weekends, school holidays, and bank holidays, in line with the rota
- Sleep-in shifts are required and paid at a fixed rate
- Unsociable hours and waking nights are paid at enhanced rates
