Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced chef to join our small, talented team. Your main responsibility will be to provide our guests with a 4 star breakfast and work through lunch service. There may be occasional evening work to cover holidays and busy periods.
You will be expected to prepare and cook all items to a consistently high standard and be flexible to the dietary requirements of our guests. After breakfast, you will be involved with the preparation of fresh, local produce for lunch and dinner service so all-round experience is essential.
Duties
- Preparing and cooking breakfast items to a high standard.
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
- Monitoring inventory levels and manage stock to minimise waste.
- Maintaining a positive team environment with your colleagues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a 3 or 4 star hotel.
- A good knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in culinary operations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues .
- A passion for producing quality meals.
- Formal catering and food safety qualifications or relevant hospitality certifications are preferred but not essential.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
