Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Children’s and Adult Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals across a range of needs. The successful candidates will work closely with clients to promote independence, safety, and well-being in various settings including care homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals while developing your skills within the healthcare and social care sectors.
Duties
- Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs, including medication administration and behaviour management.
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, mobility support, and light domestic tasks.
- Support clients with activities of daily living, fostering independence and promoting positive engagement.
- Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other cognitive impairments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administer medication accurately in accordance with prescribed instructions and maintain detailed records.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to both children and adults, respecting their dignity and preferences.
- Assist with mobility through safe lifting techniques and the use of specialised equipment when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, behaviour observations, and any incidents or concerns.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and case managers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working within a care home, nursing home or home care environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in Alzheimer’s care, dementia care or hospice care is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and care planning is preferred.
- Proven ability in patient care, behaviour management, and case management within senior or disabled populations.
- Previous caregiving roles involving heavy lifting or physical assistance are beneficial.
- Familiarity with assisted living settings or nursing environments will be considered an asset.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving client transportation.

Pay: £25,420.00-£37,123.66 per year
